Simphiwe Masiza

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mr Simphiwe Masiza is an entrepreneur, business leader and the CEO of Empowaworx Group. Masiza holds qualifications from WITS and GIBS, amongst other institutions. He is qualified in project management, strategy, organizational development, organizational management, event management, reputation management, business management, governance and executive leadership. He is the founder and passionate leader of Empowaworx, a premium communications firm with four business divisions – namely Event Management, Speakers Bureau, Media and Brand Design. Masiza began his career as a leadership expert, management consultant and a sought after and energetic corporate MC and keynote speaker.

His keynote address on “High Impact Leadership” then grew into the annual “High Impact Leadership Summits” events featuring luminaries in business, government and civil society. Empowaworx has since 2000, become a specialist in premium leadership & entrepreneurship events with extensive media coverage through events that reach over 64,500 C-suite Leaders, Executives, Professionals, High Potential Individuals and Entrepreneurs – under his able leadership. Simphiwe Masiza holds various directorships as a trusted and seasoned businessman.

Pontso Hlakoane

Head of Special Events

Pontsho is an experienced and energetic manager of people, processes and events. Her responsibility is to deliver seamless, impeccable events. She manages all Empowaworx Event properties and ensures their consistent growth, annually. A natural leader and manager who also oversees all office activities, Pontsho also co-ordinates the harmonious flow of the communication between stakeholders, the company and the office during events.

Brian Manyasha

Creative Director

Brian’s creativity ensures that client briefs are met with precision and urgency. He is known for his quality concept development and unique original designs. Nothing beats his signature touch in applied art and graphic design, campaign development, corporate identity development, art direction, illustration, web design and social media visual elements. Proficient across various design platforms and programmes, his technical skills and attention to detail ensure his innate passion for functional aesthetics shines through. A perfectionist at heart, Brian is an expert in branding and is able to adapt to emerging industry trends.

Tumi Mokoena

EmpowaYouth and Digital Media

Tumi’s energy and passion for youth and all things media-related make her the perfect team member to manage and run our Empowa Youth events. Tumi is also a social media guru, ensuring all our digital messaging is on point – for events, our speakers and overall.

Katleho Makale

Web Developer

Katleho is not only a design professional, he’s also hugely passionate about all thing tech. His skill at creating sites that truly pop and more than do the job means we have an invaluable resource on our team – especially when it comes to creating event-specific sites and digital media.

Kirsten Alexander

Wordsmith

With over 20 years’ experience in the marketing and media industries, Kirsten has been involved in numerous publications – from concept to shelf. She’s been the managing editor of various health and lifestyle magazines and has written 100’s of 1000’s of words, both fictional and factual. She has a big passion for words and making them behave on the page. Kirsten keeps the team’s grammar and messaging in check.

Oupa Setale

Media and Events Manager

Oupa Setale is a Media and Events Manager at Empowaworx. Setale holds qualifications in media, management and communications. His experience of over 10 years in radio broadcasting has given him a comprehensive grasp of media communications, advertising, branding, events management and communications. His career began as station manager at VUT FM and Sedibeng FM.

He has been honoured with an appointment as a Liberty Radio Awards 2017/18 judge. His ability to manage multiple priorities, networking ability and his drive to deliver beyond client’s expectations gives him an edge in his career. He is a professional with a keen understanding of media campaigns, activations and events management.

Ntsikelelo Manqana

Logistics Co-ordinator

Ntsikelelo Manqana is the logistics co-ordinator at Empowaworx. Mr. Manqana is a consummate professional. He is a meticulous co-ordinator with an eye for detail. His capacity for agility, foresight and creativity sets him apart as a professional co-ordinator. He joined Empowaworx in 2016 and is set for exciting development into the co-ordination of strategic projects.

Fhatani Ratshikhopha

Event Administrator

A vibrant energetic hands on all things events coordinator. With an extreme passion for organizing and planning. Making  sure that all events run seamlessly to perfection.

Ndumi Dalu

Head : Social Media and Events

Ndumi’s exceptional organization and communication skills make her a perfect fit for the organization. Her strong grasp of current marketing tools and strategies allow her to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution.

Sthe Mhlongo

Head : Speakers Bureau and Events

Sthembile Mhlongo is a Marketer, TV producer, TV host and Actress. She holds a Diploma in Media Studies majoring in Journalism and Advertising. She was the Marketing Manager of the DSTV Channel 331, One Gospel . She has hosted SABC1’S flagship gospel music show, Gospel Gold and acted on many drama series with different broadcasters. Sthembile has a passion for helping people which led her to establish a charity organisation called Abusiswe Foundation, that focuses on feeding and dressing the homesless, as well as empowering black female small-holder farmers in South Africa.
